ORKUT, one of the most used social networking website has added new features to it. These features were awaited by many of the regular Orkut users. This feature include – Notification via SMS. This feature let you receive new scrap notifications, send scraps, get friend info, and more from your mobile device. Also, you do not need an Internet connection( GPRS/ EDGE/ Wi-Fi) for your mobile to avail these services.As Brazil and India are among the leading Orkut using countries, these features are first made available to these countries only. By checking out the SMS commands, its my guess that SMS-scraps will work only in Brazil.
In India not all Cell-phone operators will be supported. Only Aircel, BPL, MTNL, Reliance, Spice and Tata networks are supported.
