Opera has released a new beta version of their browser for Linux and FreeBSD today. As always, Opera claims this to be the fastest ever Linux browser while the company even claims that Opera 10.53 beta features better KDE and Gnome desktop integration. They also believe that this new release will now get maximum exposure as the schools and institutions are now licensed to install Opera on distribution repositories.
Jon von Tetzchner, co-founder, Opera Software said, “Linux has always been a priority at Opera, as many people within our own walls are devoted users. It was important for us in this release to make alterations to our terms of usage, in order to make Opera even easier to distribute on Linux.”
