Block Website In Your PC

Lot of parents want to control the things there children browse in internet.Hence they try to lock certain websites which might be harmful to the minds of their young children.The best way without using any software to lock a website in all browser is to add it to Host file of windows in order to block it.
In this post I will explain you how to do this.

Step 1 : Goto Run and type
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

Step 2 :Open the host file in Notepad.

Step 3 : To block a website(say youtube) add below line before 127.0.0.1 Local Host
127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.youtube.com

Similarly you can add any number of websites.

Now when anybody tries to open the website a error will be displayed saying "The page cannot be displayed"

And to unblock the site just remove the links of sites you want to unblock from the Host file.
