A lot of Wordpress blogs have installed Top Commentator widget in their blog. Well, its a very good plugin to appreciate your top commentators. Mostly your readers want to see their name and their website link at the top of the list that is why they comment, not always but mostly. But do you know that anyone can remove/change the hyperlink from any of the the top commentator’s name. Want to know how ? Lets start :
Requirement :
- Email address of top commentator
The trick :
Now, I believe that you have the email id of any of the top commentator say “XYZ”. Now what you have to do is, you have to write a comment on any of the post but there are 3 things you should keep in mind :
1. The name should be same as that of “XYZ”
2. The email id should also be the same
3. Leave the the Website textbox blank or enter your desired link
Now write your comment and click on Submit. After the comment gets approved the link of the “XYZ” top commentator will be removed/changed.
Mostly, I have seen that there is no need to enter the exact email also, you can simply change the hyperlink by entering same name. Now, please do not try this trick, its was just to inform you about the drawback of top commentator plugin, for testing you can try it on your own blog. :p
